Rosina Elisabeth Werle

Rosina Elisabeth Werle passed away peacefully, with family at her side at the Langenburg Centennial Special Care Home. She was 86 years. Rose was born in the Landestreu District on January 22, 1911 to John and Matilda (Nee Werschler) Metz, the second of six children. On February 10, 1929 Rose was united in marriage with William Werle in the Landestreu Church. Bill and Rose farmed just north of Langenburg until they moved to their new home in town in 1966. Rosie's love of gardening and feeding family and friends was well known as she did a wonderful job of both. Rose also loved to sing and dance even enjoying a few turns around the room at the care home until the last years, when she could no longer walk. She became a resident of the Centennial Special Care Home in Sept. 1989 and resided there until her death. Rose loved her Lord and her family and friends. She was a loving a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Rosie was predeceased by her mother and father, her sister Viola Scherloski and her brothers Rudolph and Otto Metz, sister and brother-in-law. Memories of her life will be cherished by her loving husband Bill; her son Lloyd (Luella) Werle; her son, Gerald (Shirley) Werle and her daughter Valerie (Norris) Reichmuth; seven grandchildren, Shawn (Pamela), Kelly (Rhonda) Werle, Brent (Stephanie) Werle, Kerry (Jennifer) Werle, Blaine (Elle) Werle, Jodi (Jason) Digby and Mark (Sarah) Reichmuth; her sisters Helen and Alvina Fiesleler; sister and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Prayers were held at Braendle-Bruce Chapel in Russell, Manitoba on Sunday evening, May 18, 1997 with Pastor M.R. Bergman presiding. Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Langenburg on Monday, May 19, 1997. Pastor M.R. Bergman was the presiding minister. Organist, Maxine Werle, led the congregation with hymns; Thine is the Glory" "In the Garden: and "Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee". Pallearers were grandsons, Shawn, Kelly and Brent Werle, Kerry Werle and Mark Reichmuth, nephew Terry Metz. Ushers were Bev Aberhart and Wes Bessel. The interment was in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, followed by a time of fellowship in the Parish Hall. Memorial donations were to the St. Paul's Church Building Fund and the Centennial Special Care Home. Braendle-Bruce were in care of the arrangements. "Mom, we know this much is true, we were blessed because we were loved my by you."

    So many memories even today after all this time. Please welcome dad in your arms as he will lose his battle with cancer very soon. It is comforting to know there are those we love and love him, that have gone before.
